A lot of the blind people on here do not understand God because of there lack of knowledege. Nor do they understand Satan. What this man said is a small portion of how Satan feels about Mase. First of all people need to start putting the dates on their comments. It makes it alot easier to know when all this stuff was going on. Before, I read this I had no idea Mase had ever been a Preacher but, I wasn't that surprised either. As far as i've seen or heard Mace has never done or said anything that offended me or made me think he couldn't be a religious man. He has a wonderful voice and more than likely enjoys singing. Of course, he wants to make money and theres nothing wrong with that. I really don't get how ya'll think ya'll have the right to judge Mace. As far, as you know this was the Lords next plan for mace. All of you are trying to say ya'll are such wonderful religious people. I think if God choose Mace to preach his word then, God will not forsake Mace just for using the talent in which he was gifted with. It's not right for ya'll to act as if ya'll know what God had in mind for Mace. Anyway, I like his songs even though I usualy don't like rap much.

What happened to Mase is the question? He had a conversion like Saul when he became Paul. His eyes were open to truth and he started to walk in the way of righteousness.

I was uplifted to read his book and see his uncompromising faith and foundation. Then the story changed and he became like a man in the bible named Demas. Demas was doing a great work with the apostles but in 2Tim 4:10 you read how his life played out in a quick short verse: For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world and is departed

I do not write off Mase or sentence him to hell becaue I judge lest I be judged. We are living in a time of grace and mercy and unless he becomes sold out to Christ once again then he too will end such as Demas and miss the calling....you wonder why his come back isnt as big as when he first came out? No one knows who he is.

The message from "Someone Who Loves People" reflects the overall mind frame of the majority of individuals who either does not "know God"; does not know what the Word says in regards to the reward of the righteous and the unrighteous, or they choose to be in denial.

Often individuals conveniently paint a mental portrait of an imaginary god and conduct themselves in accordance to how they "perceive" God to be.
They ascribe a character to God that helps them to feel better about failure... about not being, and not doing what He commands them to be and to do. This mentality is DANGEROUS. The Old Testament vividly describes "God, The Creator". Beloved, God changeth not.

Many suppose that the character of God revealed in the Old Testament is no longer like the description written in the Holy Bible. Many like to focus on "He's a God of Love!" Yes! Indeed He is...He is also a God of Judgment.

There is a vast difference between “judging and proclaiming what has already been judged in the Holy Scriptures.”
What is in a person’s heart is often revealed /displayed in his / her actions; and is also revealed by God to His Servants.

The ongoing perverseness and evil practices of today, is tolerated by the Father because we are in the grace dispensation of time.
One must not misconstrue the display of mercy and grace to be an admission of God condoning sinful practices because He doesn’t force man to stop abruptly.
There is an appointed time when God shall unleash His judgment upon those who have subjected Him to behold what He despises; upon those who reject Him, His Son and serve the devil and sin.

God is giving and has given the world (people) time to repent and accept His Son; time to accept the redemptive work of His Son; to accept salvation and escape damnation.

Many who have rejected God in the past, who refused to live as He commanded, have departed this life on earth thinking they were going to be with the Lord. Going to a better place. Going to the place Jesus went to prepare for those that love Him.

Sadly, they received a rude unchangeable awakening when they arrived at their eternal destination to receive just recompense of reward. Though in torment, they could not revoke their fate and escape the penalty of sin.

According to the Scriptures, sinners do not go to be with the Lord, they are in everlasting torment. This truth is what the devil wants to conceal and I am COMPELLED BY LOVE to reveal!!!

The devil is a deceiver and wants mankind to believe that they can freely serve him and avoid the punishment which awaits him and his followers.
Not so. My Pastor taught: "A person can do anything they think that they are big enough, bad enough, grown enough and bold enough to do, but just be willing to pay the price. For the price of sin is high my friend and nobody, but nobody gets by."

Satan's deceptive tactics are successful and he usually gets the advantage of those ignorant of his devices.
Sad but true, Satan's ploy to destroy is succeeding because many doesn't know how he operates, and or many for fear of loss, refuse to become and to proclaim the truth.
But thanks be to God, Satan and his tactics are revealed in the Word of God! We don't have to be ignorant of the devil's devices!!!

When truth is proclaimed, many who do not know or understand the truth, sometimes disdain the proclaimer and say: "You shouldn't be judging nobody; you don't know their heart."

A person does not have to be a Son of God to know what is right and wrong; or to know what is in a person's heart. Their actions reveal their heart.
The Bible says, "He that is spiritual, judgeth all things." If there be a mote, or beam, or sin in a person's life, they are in no position to judge anyone.

Let's proceed. Satan knows the Truth but likes to distort the Truth. Remember in the Garden of Eden, Satan knew what God said, but he via the serpent lied to Eve to persuade her to yield to his plot. He knew if Eve and Adam disobeyed the command of God, it would cause them to die and be separated from the Father.
Just as sin separated mankind from God in the beginning, it does so today.

If there's ever been a time to "Submit yourselves to God; resist the devil and STAND fervent in the way of holiness, NOW IS THE TIME!!!

Know ye not that everything must run it's course? Then at the fullness of time, God shall do what He said! He that shall come, will come. And when He returns, whatever state a man is in, so shall he remain. "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still."

No man knows the day nor the hour the Son of God shall return. Therefore, we must live each moment holy before the Father.

Death is an enemy and has no respect of persons. How a person lives on this earth determines where they live after death. Despite what is taught and believed by the masses, everyone gets eternal life. The topic of concern and question is "Where will they spend eternity?"

Beloved, be not deceived, how a person lives on earth depicts where they go after death.

During my years of adolescence, I was taught contrary. I was taught that no matter how a person lived on earth, after death, they automatically went to be with the Lord. Thank God for the revelation which came via a preacher who was chosen of God to warn the wicked that they turn from their wickedness to avoid the penalty of sin.
He told me the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life.
He told me that if I was a sinner and I did not repent, (forsake sin) and accept Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and Saviour, and serve Him in the beauty of holiness, that "if I died tonight, in hell I'd lift up my eyes."

Immediately, I repented, accepted Christ into my heart, asked Him to deliver me from every thing unlike Him and asked Him to fill me with the Holy Ghost and to make and mold me into what was pleasing in His sight. I knew that I knew, hell was real and I didn't want to die and go live there!

I came to God because of fear. I remain with Him because I know Him and love Him!!!
I willingly obey His commands which are not at all grievous to the one desirous of pleasing Him and living eternally with Him.

How a person lives here on earth is a determining factor of where they shall spend eternity. One cannot abruptly change their course of destiny after death. This must be done before cessation of life here on earth.

This is why I speak,...that Mase, M. C. Hammer and "he that hath an ear to hear" would know the truth and be made free from the lie!
God is not confused or doubleminded. If God called you out of darkness, you must choose to obey; come out and stay out.

Those whom He called out are to come out and "go and sin no more." It is through our living holy and righteous, obeying the Father do we proceed to reach the masses who abide in darkness.
We are to light the world with the glorious light of the Gospel.
Reject man's philosophy and ideology which lead men to think it is right to become like the world to win the world.

The devil has indeed laid a snare to entrap Mase, M. C. Hammer and ultimately destroy them and all those who would look upon them and their choice to return to the path which leads to eternal torment and damnation with admiration.
This is not the Will of God!
This is not the desire of The First Lady!
This is a masterful plot of the devil to mislead and cause one to jeopardize their blessed inheritance via compromise! Satan KNOWS God! Satan knows God will not alter His Word! He knows that God shall do what He said!

If you were in your vehicle travelling on a bridge, and there were onlookers at the base of the bridge cognizant that the "bridge was out", would you prefer they warn you?, or would you rather they leave you alone to experience peril?

Love motivates one to "tell the truth" if indeed "truth" is known. I "know The Way, The Truth and The Life" and have been commissioned by God to "Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine." And this, will I do as God continues to permit.

You see, it is not the will of God that any man perish and go to hell and be cast into the Lake of Fire. God sent His Son into the world not to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved! Accepting Jesus is our only way of escape.
Hell and the Lake of Fire was created for Satan and all that love and follow/ serve Satan.
New Jerusalem was created for those who love and follow/ serve God.
A person cannot live free from sin without the power of the Holy Ghost, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. We need the POWER!
Jesus said: "Behold, I give unto you power, over all the power of the devil and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
The only way to succeed in living as God commands is to possess the power of God within and to willingly obey the unctioning of the Holy Ghost as He leads and guide us into all truth.

The Holy Ghost does not “make us do right when we wanna do wrong.” He reminds us of what the will of the Father is.
God will not force us to live free from sin. He has made provision for us to not have to succumb to it. To sin is a choice. To live holy is a choice. It is the choices we make in life on earth which determines what we experience on earth and thereafter.
God will not and does enter into nor inhabit an unclean temple and neither shall He allow anything unclean to enter into nor inhabit New Jerusalem.
None but the righteous, whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life shall be able to enter into the Kingdom of Almighty, Infallible God...into New Jerusalem! Believest thou this? Is your name is written in THE BOOK?

First, I would just like to pray that God would have mercy on all those who are dogging Pastor Mason Betha. Jesus loves him and only God knows everything. No one knows his heart and Jesus gave us a command no matter what to love one another as he loved us.(John 13:34)And the Bible says to make allowance for one another faults.And if you see your brother in a fault restore him in a spirit of meekness considering your own self.(romans 5:1)We're to consider ourselves when it comes to dealing with other people. You don't dog or condemn him, love him. And if, just if, he is wrong you're commanded to pray and love.Who are you to judge another man's servant? I love him and believe the best about him.Like I said earlier, no one knows his heart or exactly what's going on.And the hellfire, brimstone,condemnation message isn't what you need to give people,that's not representing Jesus right.He said for I have not come to condemn the world, but the world through me might be saved. He said go love and judge not.And I won't judge and will give mercy,just like Jesus did me when I was all messed up and needed help,he loved me came in my heart and saved me. So I love you all and him just like Jesus loved me. And you all that support him,you're a blessing.

In this era, many have compromised and forsaken the call of God to "Wherefore, come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."

Many have decided to join the wicked and partake in wickedness in hopes to "win" the wicked for Christ. Their reason for fraternizing with the devil and utilizing the devil's tools is allegedly to "reach the lost for Christ and win them over to righteousness."

It is wonderful to want to reach the lost for Christ; but the laborer must not indulge in sin and labor to win others and they themselves be lost.
One need not compromise the way of holiness nor condescend to do so. Jesus did not condescend to reach sinful man. He remained holy and pleasing and obedient to the Father throughout His life here on earth. Jesus was in all points tempted like as we are, yet He was without sin.

It is disheartening to see masses misrepresenting the "Church"; the "Bride of Christ". Bearing the religious signs, not possessing the heavenly goods. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.

Many have forsaken the way of holiness and fallen by the wayside and have not gotten up to walk in the newness of life.
Partially the cause for this great falling away is "blind leaders" teaching that "no one is perfect nor can be perfect"; the individual's desire to fulfill the lust of the flesh; masses who view religious programming have gone a whoring and forsaken God; are not beholding examples of holiness to pattern themselves; masses are not being taught the strictness of the Gospel which encourages hearers/ sinners to forsake sin; to live holy and develop a relationship with God; and perhaps the evil report of Donnie."

A saint is "NOT" a sinner who fell down! If a person is a sinner, they are not a saint. The devil is a liar and so is Donnie. Many took that song inspired by the devil and utilized it as a cloak for their failure to live holy and felt justification becauseDonnie said "a saint is just a sinner who fell down."
Woe to them which teach men to do contrary to what Jesus command. Mt. 5:48, Jesus said: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect."
Jesus never told us to do what could not be done. News Flash: "If we are not what He commands us to be, with Him we shall not live eternally in the place prepared for those who love Him.”
Jesus said: "If ye love Me, keep My commandments.;
If a man love Me, he will keep My words.;
He that loveth Me not, keepeth not my sayings."
If any man love the world, (carnality, sinful pleasures) the love of the Father is not in him.
To those who would receive Him, to them gave He power to become the Sons of God! Power to live free from sin! Sons of God are not sinners.
Many teach and believe that: "you can serve God and serve the devil at the same time." I say what the Word says, No man can serve two masters;…ye cannot serve God and mammon.

They say you can join a "church", pay tithes, give offerings, sing in the choir, etc. and not give up that pleasurable sinful lifestyle. You don't have to change, God understands; He made us and that's just the way it is."
To receive Jesus, is to receive all He taught; willingly repent and to walk obediently and pleasing to the Father.

The "Church" is not a structural concrete building as some suppose, the "Church is the Bride of Christ". Ephesians 5: 25-27 tells us that "...Christ also loved the Church, and gave Himself for it;
That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word.
That He might present it to Himself a glorious Church, not having spot, or wrinkle or any such thing: but that it should be holy and without blemish."

When I consider the Scripture, "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the House of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel of God?
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?"

This is not the time to give up walking in the "way of life eternal with the Father" to partake in the temporal pleasures of carnality which bind the mind to a reprobate state and condemn the body and soul to everlasting perdition.

The devil awaits an opportunity to distract the believer and reclaim his/her soul.
Trials, temptations are launched to encourage that person to return to their sinful lifestyle.

Know ye that the Bible refers to a person who returns to sin as "a dog returning to his own vomit"? When a man serves sin, the devil wins. The servant of Satan shall spend eternity with his master.

God has given whomsoever will receive Him the power to live godly in a world surrounded by evil influences. We must choose to live free from sin. We must not allow evil influences to persuade us to "forget the Lord God". When Israel forgot God, they forsook Him. So many like to attend religious edifices which allows them to be "free" to do what is pleasing to the flesh, as long as they support it financially. My Pastor taught a message years ago entitled: "Don't Be So Free Till You Loose Yourself From God!"

In this life, there are restrictions and boundaries which must be adhered to, must not be ignored to be in compliance. If you want what await the Sons of God, you must become a Son of God and remain so unto His glorious appearing!

Truth is, evil communication corrupts good manners. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

"If you wanna make it into the Kingdom of God, you gotta give up all of your sin and live / walk no longer therein!"

What OUR purpose? How is God using OUR talents?? We as the Kingdom of God are suppose to support the members in the body. And Mase is a child in the Kingdom of God. He's made mistakes in the past, and you know what, he's going to make mistakes in the future. If he says he's going back to bring unbelievers to Christ, then watch God. If he rapping in the secular arena, then watch God. If he's professing Christ among secular and an unbelieving generation, then WATCH GOD! You think God's mad that he wants to bring a perverse generation back to the Source? Before we pass our conviction upon someone else, examine yourself first and WATCH GOD! selah...

To me, Believer made the best post. They are right by saying that Mase has corrected himself and that he is preaching to more people in his music than he could at a church. Lastly, on the same day that Rick James died from most likely drugs, Mase has removed himself from the drug game. I am only 13 years old, but I think what he has done is great!

Hi All I ma a beliver in the Lord JC and I am also a beleiver in the betterment o humanity. I think that if the issue of spreading the word is analysed then this is really the only weay Mase can relate the changes he has experienced to those who are in the sort of situations that he was faced 5 years ago. Thugs, strippers and hoes dont go to church, they listen to Hip Hop. It is the most direct and logical way to reach the downtrodden. When you ask yourselve what would Jesus do this is somethign he would consider if he were around these days. In the sermon on the mound he preached to 5000 people. Mase is simply preaching to masses through his music. This is his way of giving back to the community. It is a worry that some people chosse to judge the man and condemn his actions. If Jesus walked today he would commend Mase. He is spreading the word. If he earns some cash for doing so then this is the will of the lord...who are we to question it? Also the fact the he has realigned himself with BadBoy records is also not to be misunderstood. FOr the all shiny suits, rolies, blunts and women, Diddy still chose not pursue any legal options when Mase retired as he understod the calling of the lord is unstoppable...pardon the pun!

I have never liked the "gansta" mentality that came along with the old Image of Mase, but I am outraged by the last comment from "Is it really welcome back". I am a Christian and I believe in the power of faith, but I am also a realist living in 2004. The fact that Mason Betha has made a comeback is great! It shows all young people who are on the wrong path in life, that is never too late to change your ways. Mase brough back a CLEAN verses and pleasant music. As far as his followers, if they trully are following him - they will embrace his re-born style. He is a breath of fresh air, in this day and age, where sex and violence has become a "normal" backdrop for music artists. So - yeah - WELCOME BACK, MASE!

First of all as believers we must first ask our self WWJD (what would Jesus do). When i first heard many years ago that Mase had left the game and went to follow GOD i admired him, he reminded me of a parable in the Bible where Jesus asked the rich man to give up his riches and follow him, even though that man didnt it was awesome that Mase did. Then a few years later he came to Olivet Baptist and I had a chance to hear him speak. After hearing him speak i realized that his life hadn\'t changed at all only his hustle. I could not sense, see or feel anything that had to do with God. I was so disappointed. That is why it was no surprise that he is back out there in the streets. For the lover of money is the root of all evil. And his love of money is what has led him back into his other career. What is so sad about the whole thing is his followers. What type of example is he setting for young believers. That its okay to live your life how you want just as long you go to church on Sunday or mention God. Well how about mentioning for the wages of sin is death. God says clearly in the Bible that you say you are of me and live so unrightously, He will take you out. That is the message we need to be very clear on. For the road to hell is broad but the road to Heaven is very narrow. Either you are His or not, for Him or against Him, There are no in between when it comes to God. You are first saved in you heart, your actions are just a result of that salvation, a TV of what the heart really meant when thy tongue was confessing. Mase, the only force that is saying "Welcome Back" is the devil and unfortunately he opened his door and you walked in. I pray that for the sake of other that you would have enough courage to close your Church doors so that Satan will not be able to lead anyone into the same doors you have entered. I just heard an interview with Mason calling in speaking with P Diddy to make it official "He is back"...he talks about all the hiatus and he was in la with a radio station and his single was at the charts...he told P Diddy to visit Jacobs (jewelerer) to get him some stuff because he has to come back to NYC just right...I have been trying to call SANE Ministries for a month and I only get an answering machine; I have been missing him at our church conferences since March 2004, but I think I saw his wife Twyla pregnant; are they still together; are they still running the Ministry; pls update our christian youths of today!

I heard the other day on the radio that MASE was comming back. They said he had contacted P. Diddy and was ready to make a return to the rap game. (insert sarcasm here>) I guess working for God just doesnt pay enough.

Praise God!! We can no longer refer to Pastor Mason Betha as MA$E. He is a new creature and old things are passed away including his rap name. He is a Pastor that feeds his congregation with the infallible word of God. It is impossible to look at what God has done in his life and not see a complete 180 degree turn around. We must recognize him as a Pastor just as we recognize Bishop T.D. Jakes, Bishop Eddie Long, Juanita Bynum and the such.

I would like to say that is so good to see how God has anointed your life for his glory. Just remember to trust in him and put him in all that you do, and keep hold on keep praying and fasting. let go and let God, and the words of my pastor R.c. Lawson Everything is going to be alright.
